Seaweed resource found near shores of Saaremaa is according to our current knowledge the last one left that is industrially usable. Estonian Marine Insitute coducts annual studies and according to these results we conclude the amount of seaweed we can gahter at a given year. On average we do not reach near the maximum level. Our main goal is not to harm the resource in any way and not to threat its natural reproduction rate.
Seaweed trawled from Väinameri on average contains maximum of 8% of additives. Gathered material is dried and stored having a maximum of 22% moisture content.
In addition to trawling, local people gather seaweed storm casts from shore, dry it in the Sun and sell it to us.
